The Braidy Bunch!!!

Well I started a habit of braiding the horses manes every Sunday afternoon, but that didn't last for very long. So I haven't braided them in like, a month. Yikes. So Wednesday I braided them. I will show you the before and after pics for Missy. Then a few body shots of her. You guys haven't really been able to see all of them have you lol?

I wish my hair was as long as hers... *sigh*

I didn't get a before or after for Cat cause her mane wasn't very bad at all cause it's much shorter than Miss Missy's. Here we goo...

When I was done with Cat, I was going to clean their stalls, but this big sucker was headed in our direction...!!!

I ran and put Missy in her stall, and a minute or so after finishing with Cat, it started pouring. And can you guess what I was wearing? Shorts and a t-shirt. :D Yup. I went back inside and cleaned the stalls later when it wasn't raining. Lol. What a day.
Thanksgiving was fun. Christina and Derek, and Jerald came over. Honey befriended Christina lol.
Well I gotta go,

Anywayz, I loved all that rain! And did you see those clouds?! I took a ton of pictures of them and of Missy and Cat, so I'll try to get some up today. :D It just takes a while :(

Oh on the second one, please ignore my brother's annoying background noise. Grr.

And since we're talking about videos, here's the video me and Celine were going to enter into the Film Festival. Yeah, you can laugh. :D

Happy Birthday Bailey

Well, yesterday was Bailey's 6th(I think) birthday! She's getting so old...and stinkier. Man she has some killer breath! But I spoiled her for mom. She likes to be blow dried so when I was drying my hair yesterday I blew it on her for a while. She got extra kisses and treats, too.

Missy has got to be the silliest horse I know. I was lunging her yesterday and Cat was on the other side of the round pen grazing. Missy would be trotting around with her ears perked and a content look on her face, but when she would pass Cat, she pinned her ears back and put her head in the air with a devil of a look on her face. I just cracked up! Then, I was working on her picking up the canter from a walk. When she does it going to the left, she gets it but her right hind leg is like all off. It doesn't go with her other legs, like it's following some other pattern! It's so funny! So she has to go to a trot, and pick up the canter again, correctly. Haha, and she only does it to the left. Goober. After I lunge her, I can walk around and she'll follow me. So I started running, and she trots next to me! Then I'll walk, and she'll walk, and I stop, and she'll stop! Haha while I was petting her in the center of the pen, Cat comes over and sticks her head through the fence trying to eat the carrot that's in my grooming box. She didn't succeed though. Hah one time I was picking Missy's feet though, and Missy ate the carrot I had. Sneaky....

Ohhh, a Biggest Loser update!! Vicki's husband Brady got voted off, by Amy. They went to singles this week, but Amy and them were all on 'Bob's Team', the blue team. Vicki says, you're going to pay. And in the commercial for next week, there seems to be a lot of drama with Vicki and Amy, and stupid Heba. Geez Heba and Vicki are terrible. I'm sorry, but they need to get over themselves, lose weight, and go home.
I should probably stop now....

EDIT TO ADD: I've decided that I am going to have another blog. But it will be for specifically photography. So go to my profile and check it out!

Rain! Sweet RAIN!

So yesterday afternoon on our way home from church we went to Walmart. When we went in the sky was a bit cloudy. But when we came out it was very cloudy and there was a huge dark cloud covering alot of the sky. On our way home it started raining. It was great. When we got home it was still lightly raining. How awesome is that?!

This is a long post....

I feel so smart. NOT. So today I went out and took a ton of pictures of flowers. They weren't turning out right, and I couldn't figure out why! I sat there thinking for a bit, then was like, 'OHHH!!! It's not on the flower setting!' After I changed it to that the pictures turned out great. So click here to view them.

This morning, around 4:45, Bailey woke me up. She was standing on me and wanted to go outside. So I reluctantly got up and let her and Honey out. I was standing in the doorway watching them. So I look down, then when I look up I see a hugenormous bird flying over me and the house! Bout made me pee! I was like, 'oh crap! That was a big bird!' It was at least 6 feet tip to tip. I think it was an owl, cause a few seconds after that happened I heard hooting coming from the roof. Oh man, that just really woke me up! Lol.

I want to share something I read in literature today. It's kinda long, just to warn you. But I recommend you read it all. Lol.

The Open Sky by John Ruskin.
It is a strange thing how little in general people know about the sky. It is the part of all creation in which nature has done more for the sake of pleasing man, more, for the sole and evident purpose of talking to him and teaching him, than in any other of her works, and it is just the part in which we least attend to her. There are not many of her other works in which some more material or essential purpose than the mere pleasing of man is not answered by every part of their organization; but every essential purpose of the sky might, as far as we know, be answered, if once in three days, or thereabouts, a great, ugly black rain cloud were brought up over the blue, and everything well watered, and so all left blue again till next time, with perhaps a film of morning and evening mist for dew. And instead of this, there is not a moment of any day of our lives, when nature is not producing scene after scene, picture after picture, glory after glory, and working still upon such exquisite and constant principles of the most perfect beauty, that it is quite certain it is all done for us, and intended for our perpetual pleasure. And every man, wherever placed, however far from other sources of interest or of beauty, has this doing for him constantly. The noblest scenes of the earth can be seen and known but by few; it is not intended that man should live always in the midst of them: he injures them by his presence, he ceases to fell them if he be always with them: but the sky is for all; bright as it is, it is not “too bright, nor good, for human nature’s daily food,” it is fitted in all its functions for the perpetual comfort and exalting of the heart, for the soothing it and purifying it from its dross and dust. Sometimes gentle, sometimes capricious, sometimes awful, never the same for two moments together; almost human in its passions, almost spiritual in its tenderness, almost divine in its infinity, it is surely meant for the chief teacher of what is immortal in us, as it is the chief minister of chastisement or of blessing to what is mortal. And yet we never attend to it, we never make it a subject of thought, but as it has to do with our animal sensations: we look upon all by which it speaks to us more clearly than to brutes, upon all which bears witness to the intention of the Supreme that we are to receive more from the covering vault than the light and the dew which we share with the weed and the worm, only as a succession of meaningless and monotonous accidents, too common and too vain to be worthy of a moment of watchfulness or a glance of admiration. If in our moments of utter idleness and insipidity, we turn to the sky as a last resource, which of its phenomena do we speak of? One says it has been wet, and another, it has been windy; and another, it has been warm. Who, among the whole chattering crowd, can tell me of the forms of precipices of the chain of tall white mountains that filled the horizon at noon yesterday? Who saw the narrow sunbeam that came out of the south, and smote upon their summits until they melted and mouldered away in a dust of blue rain? Who saw the dance of the dead clouds, when the sunlight left them last night, and the west wind blew them before it like withered leaves? All has passed, unregretted as unseen; or if the apathy be ever shaken off, even for an instant, it is only by what is gross, or what is extraordinary; and yet it is not in the broad and fierce manifestations of the elemental energies, not in the clash of the hail, nor the drift of the whirlwind, that the highest characters of the sublime are developed. God is not in the earthquake, nor in the fire, but in the still, small voice. They are but the blunt and the low faculties of our nature, which can only be addressed through lamp-black and lightning. It is in quiet and subdued passages of unobtrusive majesty, the deep, and the calm, and the perpetual; that which must be sought ere it is seen, and loved ere it is understood; things which the angels work out for us daily, and yet vary eternally: which are never wanting, and never repeated; which are to be found always, yet each found but once; it is through these that the lesson of devotion is chiefly taught, and the blessing of beauty given.

Fall Colors...Somewhat.

Weell the other day I went out in the wonderful afternoon light to take some pictures. I just love those pine cones! Haha here's a link to the pics. Yup. Well things are going good. Oh here's a Top Design update for Mom. Eddie went home. The final three have to design a WHOLE townhouse(the interior). I forgot to watch Amazing Race. Sorry. Ghost Hunters was live on Halloween at Fort Delaware. And they showed all seven hours of the investigation. It was cool. And no, I did not stay up for the whole seven stinkin hours. I stayed up for five. It was 11, and I had to get up at 8 to be ready for the church picnic. It was fun. haha. Baptism went for an HOUR or more straight. Awesome. Well, I'll write more later. Goodnight!
