Behind my Fear

So if you are someone who isn't afraid of heights, you might want to know why us people who ARE afraid of heights are. The answer? I don't know. It's just the way God made us.
But I can tell you what I think about when I'm faced with heights. Haha the reason I'm talking about this is because tonight we're going rock climbing with our youth group. I've been before, but I mostly just um. What's it called? When you don't climb but you hold the rope for the climber and stuff...Ugh I forgot! Well anyway, that's what I end up doing cause I just can't climb. If I do, it's only half way up. Then I HAVE to go back down. I just can't go any higher or I totally freak out.

So when I'm climbing, this is basically what goes through my head: 'Oh gosh, oh gosh. What if this doesn't hold me? What if my friend can't hold me? Oh no I'm slipping...AAh too far up! What if I fall or something!' Then I quickly look down and tell my partner to let me down. SLOWLY. Then the whole time of that, 'Oh my gosh oh my gosh. Slow! aaah, oh my goodness....!!!'
Yeah. Even when my friends help me by telling me where to put my feet and hands and encourage me, it's hard for me. My hands get clammy, I get dizzy, I can't think straight, and I shake. All over.
So tonight, I am going to try hard to not let my fear get in the way!
Why do I not trust the equipment? I don't know. I always doubt the safety of things. Especially roller coasters, other rides, rock climbing stuff...I think that's one of the main things behind my fear.
So there you have it...

Hayley

P.S. I am doing a soap everyday like I said I would! Woohoo!

These title things drive me insane cause I never know what to say!

All right...
Here is s SOAP for you. Lather it on and don't rinse.
October 28th, 2008
S: Titus 3:9 But shun foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law; for they are unprofitable and worthless.
O: Don’t argue or fight over foolish things because it doesn’t get you anywhere. It’s POINTLESS. (But still, we go on and get all worked up about things!)
A: Try not to fight or worry about the little things that in the end are just foolish.
P: Hey God, please give me the will to not argue or worry about things that really are just foolish. They really don’t matter and it is a waste of time to fight over silly things. In Your name I pray, Amen.

And I've decided, that since I don't do a SOAP every day, that I am going to do one every day. No matter what, I must do one! My dad and bro and mom have to do one every day for the GO training, so what the heck! I might as well! lol. If you want to follow along and read what we're reading, here is a link to the reading plans.

I totally lost what I was going to say. Shoot. Don't you just hate when that happens? Well anyways. Since this is 'Life With Horses' I guess I'll update you on Missy and Cat! Missy is fine. I think she's losing weight! Woohoo! I'm finally getting back into working her more than once a week. lol. Cat is good too. She had some swelling on her belly for some reason. The vet did some bloodwork and that was all fine, so she assumed she just got stung by something. She gave us some medicine for her to help the swelling. And also, we got some shampoo for her boot-ay. Hah she's had bad bad bad dry flaky skin on her butt and this shampoo (which on the bottle says it's for DOGS) really helps. But, once again, I'm having to keep an eye on her. It's hard to explain where, but on her belly-ish leg area there's a tumor looking thingy. She has one on her neck that the vet has checked out(when Cat lived with her) and said is fine. So hopefully this one is fine. But if gets bigger then we might have a problem. Ugh. Pray for my dear Cat and her tuma. Lol.

My mom left for Africa this morning. She's gone for three weeks. Woohoo party time! Jk jk jk. She will be missed! And just for her, here is a Biggest Loser update. Phil was voted off, and the show won't come on for two weeks. Just in time! Hah. And, as always, sweet Bailey already misses you. I'll keep her company. Spoil her even more...

Well it's ten til ten. My bedtime. I should go and brush me teethers. Lol well have a blessed day/night!

Love Wins,
Hayley
P.S. I now have a countown til Christmas along with the Thanksgiving one.

Tagged...AGAIN.

So I've been tagged again. But this time it's a different tag, called Silly Tag. I have to tell something silly I've done. Here we go...

I've tripped going up stairs
I was running in the house once and wasn't paying attention and I whacked my toe against the wall.
At church when I was playing one weekend I started singing when it wasn't yet time to
When I was little I wrote on and stuck post it notes all over the living room.
Ok so that was more than one...but I just have a lot of silly things I've done!
I tag Violet, Lauren, Stacey and Amber. :D

Hike Pictures!

Well, as promised, here are some of my fav pics from the hike. And a link to the album with ALL of them. Hah there's 101. So I'd suggest doing the slide show.
Okay, so here's info about the pics.
Pic #11. This is me and Charity. I would not and did not move from that spot. I stood there leaning on the rock and holding onto Charity's arm until she moved for Faith to stand by me. Haha.
Pic #10. Shadows. Heh.
Pic #9. Me and Faith. It's blurry...I know...
Pic #8. A pretty and complicated looking cactus.
Pic #7. Tree...
Pic #6. Mountain
Pic #5. The way up to the so called 'waterfall'.
Pic #4. Part of the waterfall. To the right is the ledge up to that place...You can't really see it though.
Pic #3. A bug. In the water.
Pic #2. That's where I would fall if I fell from up on the ledge.
Pic #1. The waterfall wall. That was to the right of me when I was up there. Those people climbing are a bit crazy eh?! Okay I should prolly stop with the pics huh? So if you wanna see all the other pics go to that link at the beginning! Woo..

Hot air Balloons!!

Oh there ain't nothing like hot air balloons in the morning!
Haha, well...Once the weather starts getting nice n cool in the mornings, we start seeing hot air balloons floating across that blue sky around 7:15 in the morning. They come from the right and are about two streets behind us. They get very close to the ground, then get higher and higher and higher and then they disappear over the mountain! So those are some pictures I took the other morning of them. And sometime this weekend I will post pics of the hike we took on the White Tank mountains yesturday. They're uploading to photobucket right now...and it takes quite a while...especially if you have more than 50 pics. Which of course I do. Hah while we were hiking I kept stopping to takes pics and Charity was like, "Hayley! Come on!" so I had to refrain myself from taking pics every 2 minutes. Lol. What can I say? I'm addicted! We had a great time, but I had to face a little fear...Okay so we took the trail that leads up to the waterfall(or not so waterfally) and well we got up there. There's a little pond thing, then stepping stones up to a ledge that leads up to two more ponds and the big rock wall the water would fall down if there WAS any. So that ledge that led up there was navigable. So practically all of us went up there. I wasn't going to go, cause I'm VERY afraid of heights. Although it was only like 7 or 8 feet high...I was just afraid of getting up there cause it was hard and if I fell I would land in water. But Faith and Charity got up there and helped me up. It was scary. :D Even up there, I wouldn't budge. I got myself to take pics of the tall walls, but doing so I had to look up, which made me dizzy. Ugh...no mas, I can't think about it anymore! Lol.
So ya, we had fun! On the way back, we went halfway down the riverbed, which was more like hiking than walking on that flat non rocky trail. Hah. Yup. Well I must go..but come back soon! Those pics will be waiting for you!

My Idea

Okay so at church this weekend we started a new series. It's called Letters to the Next President. No, it's not political. It's about making us better leaders. Whatever we do, to help us become better, stronger leaders. So Greg's three points this week were
1. Leadership is Stewardship.
2. Leadership is Temporary.
3. We are Accountable for our Leadership.

So since then, I have been thinking. What if we DID write a letter to the new president? This is what I would want him to know.
Basically that whatever he does, remember that leadership is stewardship. Leadership is temporary, and that he is accountable for his leadership. And that I/we are praying for him.
Wouldn't that be so cool if we did that?! Sure, he doesn't read EVERY letter he gets, but there's a chance that he might read the one we'd sent. Right? So why not write a letter to the guy?
Love Wins,
Hayley
P.S. Yeah that's a random picture. Has nothing to do with the post. Haha. It's me and my bud Celine. lol. Yea it's from my phone. Speaking of phones I got a new one! Yay!

I've Been....TAGGED! OH GOODNESS!

I'd like to thank, my mom, God, my producers...jk lol.
Okay so i'll tell you some things you all probably didn't know about me. Here we go...
Numero uno..
1. I LOVE green beans. They are awesome.

2. When I was 6 I fell off a swing and broke both of my wrists. Then when I was twelve I fell off my horse and broke my right wrist. Then this past summer I almost broke it again falling off that same horse. About a month ago I sort of twisted my ankle ice skating. And I'm always running into walls, dropping something, or stubbing my toe. Obviously, I'm accident prone.

3. I love Irish music. And talking in an Irish accent. I can even play some Irish songs. Oh yeah I play piano. 6 years...

4. I'm addicted to the show Ghost Hunters. Mainly because it is not like those other 'Ghost' shows at all. These people are real and they love what they do and they do it truthfully. They actually go in to disprove the claims of paranormal activity. Sometimes they can't. And sometimes they get some pretty exciting evidence...like strange voices on their recorders. Or figures(that are not their own reflecting off of something) on their thermal cameras.

5. I absolutely love taking pictures. Love it love it love it!!

Ok, now who should I tag? Let's see...Lauren, Violet, Mariposa, and umm...that's it. Everyone else I know has been tagged. Yikes.

Hayley

Ok, so I went outside yesturday afternoon and took even more pictures of the dogs!! It was a lot of fun. The dogs had some pretty cute faces, and the sun was setting so the light was beautiful on Honey and Daisy(the lighter two). So here's a pic of each dog. In order, Honey , Oreo and Daisy, Daisy, Oreo, Honey, and Bailey. OH I just love my doggies! Yeah this is supposed to be 'Life with Horses' but...don't worry! I'll get ya an update on them soon!

Life...

I know, two posts in one day. And people say I'm quiet...psh.

So, earlier today, me and my mom were watching an old video of me and my brother. It was when we had recently moved into our house. Which was 7 years ago. Wow.
I was holding the camera and basically doing a tour of the house. Lol. At one point my brother comes into view and I say, "This is my brother, Aaron." Aaron says "Hi". Then my brother takes the camera and goes into the living room, where he shows the TV. He says, "I'm gonna watch this real quick before I film somemore." Or somewhere along the lines of that lol. "There, I set the camera safely down." Hahah!!
The other day, I went on our old computer and started going through old pictures on it. I sent a bunch to my computer. I had quite a few good laughs at some of them, and I also had a few...not sad, but...almost tearful moments. Yeahhh... haha. It reminds me of You're Gonna Miss This by Trace Adkins. (Great song, listen to it!)
And so I've been thinking. We should make every moment count. No one wants to look back on their life and have a ton of things they regret. Like when I was looking at those old pictures, and watching that old video.. I miss those times. They were great. So we need to seize the moment. Live for God, and make every second count. Think twice about what you're saying, thinking, doing. Is it something you're going to regret in the future? Or is it something you'll proudly look back on? That's something I ask myself. Alot actually. With horses, you have to live in the moment. Because things can change in an instant. Same with life.

And horses don't hold grudges. Ever heard of forgive and forget? It's a great thing...
We are so blessed. We don't realize everything we take for granted. So take some time and thank God for everything. For all those storms you've gone through. Because they make you stronger. Thank Him for your family, your friends, your house, your pets, your clothes, your hair supplies. Everything you love. He already knows you're thankful for it. But He deserves a direct 'thanks' from you every so often you know? That's why every night, I thank Him for that day. Whether it was a good or bad day. Every day is a gift. I thank Him for all His wonderful blessings and all the incredible people I know.
So live life, seize the moment, and thank God and people around you who deserve a little thanks. Encourage people, pray, and Read God's Word. You will see a big difference.

Love Wins,
Hayley
p.s. In church one time, Darius said, if You listen and obey God, you will be prosperous and successful. P.S. hehe. The pictures are of a creek in Colorado. Just another beautiful creation by the amazing Creator. :D

Just stuff....

Well hellooooo..
Haha that's a picture from my phone of me after I rode Missy.
Today me and Celine prank called my bro, Aaron, and his friend Konnor(who's b-day is today). It was quite fun. lol. This is him playing his guitar for me. He can play 'The Time of Your Life' by Green Day. Love it!
Me and my mom are making a skirt for me. I can't wait til it's done! I'll have a pic for you all when it's done. Maybe i'll be wearing it. :D
I can't wait for Christmas. Oh man! I love it!! And Thanksgiving!! Every night I go to sleep thinking of the wonderful food...Especially the green beans. YUMMY!!!
Ok so yeah this has been a post of random things. But it's everything going on in my head right now!!! See so you get a peek inside my...somewhat...strange mind. Heh.
OH tonight Life comes on!!! Great show..You should watch it! The guy in it, Charlie something(yeah I love the show but I don't know the characters last name in it. Someone slap me silly. OH wait I already am!) but ya the guy looks like Daniel Connor from my church! Like IDENTICAL. It's crazy!! And his ex-wife in it looks like his wife Violet when she had blonde hair! Oh goodness it's on now! I must go!! Adios!

S: 1 Timothy 1:5 ‘But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. ‘
O: If we show love from a pure heart, have a good conscience, and have a sincere faith, that alone will help people around us see Christ.
A: Whatever I do, do it with love from a pure heart, have a good conscience and a sincere faith in Jesus Christ so that I may be a light for Him.
P: Hey God, please help me to be a light for You. To show love from a pure heart, have a good conscience and sincere faith in You. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Christmas and warm showers :D

Well this morning I gave Missy a bath. Yup. And I did it ALL before school started. HAHA. Since it was kind of cool, I didn't use cold water. I let the water run for a bit until it got warm. Now usually when she gets a bath, it's later in the day and the water is cooler and she hates it. But this morning was different. She stood still and seemed to enjoy the warm bath. Sweety...
I'm getting very excited about Christmas! I've started playing Christmas music and listening to it. I greatly recommend you listen to Celtic Woman for their Christmas music. It's wonderwonderwonderwonderful!!!! (Btw, it's pronounced Keltic. Haha.)
Well that's pretty much it..

Soap

Here's a soap from today

O: It's saying that whatever we do, we should do it for God, not others,so that God will have the glory. And God will bless us when we do things for Him.
A: In all that I do, do it for God's glory.
P: Hey God, please help me to do everything for Your glory. Thank you for Your blessings and everything You do. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Well things are going pretty good. I had yesterday off from school. Yay!

Me and my baby girl

Here's some pictures of me and my baby girl, Missy.

Hmmmn

Have you ever wanted something, but it just wasn't there and there was no way you could get it?
Like say you were taking a shower, and you ran out of body wash. You really need body wash but there isn't any left in the bottle, and you don't have any others.
That's how I feel. I need something(somebody actually) but they aren't there. And they wont be. For a very long time. It's getting hard...

Here's a SOAP
October 2nd, 2008
S: Philippians 3: 7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.
O: This verse means to me that Christ should be a greater priority than other worldly things.
A: I need to make Christ a bigger priority than the stuff that's ahead of Him in my life.
P: Hey God, please help me to make You a bigger priority than other things. Lately I haven't been and it hasn't been good.
Thanks for all You do! In Your name I pray, Amen.

You all need to go to Starbucks and get some chocolate covered cherries. They are BOMB!!!!! Thanks Amber!!!!
